a word from owner..

"I’ve loved living in Robart House and Leytonstone for the past 5 years. What drew me to the flat was the modern, high spec finishes, beautiful wooden floors and large windows that flood the space with natural light. Everything you need is on your doorstep here. The central line is a short walk away, there are lots of buses and the overground just 15 minutes down the road. It makes getting into the city very quick and convenient. Alongside the great transport links, Leytonstone also has lots of large green spaces nearby with Hollow Ponds and Wanstead Flats. There are a wide range of amenities nearby, with three supermarkets a stones throw from the flat, a pure gym on the high road, as well as plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from. I’ve spent many evenings enjoying a pint with friends in the Red Lion or the North Star, tacos from Homies on Donkeys and a Yard Sale Pizza."

Our Local Guide:
Leytonstone

Lemna Road, Leytonstone — Stow Brothers

There’s more to Leytonstone than first meets the eye. Say the name to one person and they might think of the grand houses around Hollow Ponds, while say it to someone else and they’ll mention burgeoning South Leytonstone, or maybe the popular Bushwood. There are many different pockets, but they’re all united by the same inclusive community who recognise that it’s the balance of it all that makes Leytonstone so great.

The centre is arguably the high street with its eclectic shops and eateries, but you only have to venture slightly further away and you’ll come across hidden gems like bar Filly Brook on Grove Green Road, music venue Luna Lounge in Bushwood, or the The Hitchcock Hotel in Upper Leytonstone. Travel a little beyond and you’ll find further contrast with the vast green space that Hollow Ponds and the Wanstead Flats provide. Simply put, you’ll never get bored in Leytonstone.

Transport links

Just two stops from Stratford, Leytonstoners can nip to the Kent coast with surprising ease, but Central London or the City on the tube might be more useful - the former takes about 25 mins and the latter 15 mins. Easy.

Great Pubs

Too many pubs to choose from… What a problem to have. With The Red Lion, Heathcote and Star, The Hitchcock Hotel, The North Star, Leytonstone Tavern, locals are spoilt for choice. Better bring your pub crawl A-game if you visit.

Plenty of period property

Despite all the urban bustle, Leytonstone has an abundance of wide, tree-lined streets brimming Victorian and Edwardian property, ranging from the grand homes in Upper Leytonstone, a stone’s throw from Hollow Ponds, to the many terraces of South Leytonstone, and the popular community of Bushwood with its active residents’ association.
