This interior of this three-bedroom period home is as striking as the exterior, with lovely features and immaculate decor throughout. As well as the beautifully extended kitchen, other highlights include the 55 foot west-facing rear garden and first floor bathroom.

As for the location, you’ve got the excellent amenities of Walthamstow in one direction, the peace and quiet of Epping Forest in another, and the convenience of Wood Street station in the other, and that’s just the start of the perks.

You’ll take great pride in approaching the handsome brick frontage from the day you move in - and it gets even better on the inside; thanks to the imaginative renovation work, the mid-terrace home a light-filled sanctuary that balances the needs of modern living carefully with the beauty of Victorian design.

On the first floor, you’ve got three spotlessly decorated bedrooms, as well as an impressive bathroom, while on the ground floor, the dual aspect reception room is immaculate - with custom shutters in the bay windows and a thoughtful colour palette.

At the rear, the kitchen continues the theme, with smart units, sleek worktops and an integrated oven, as well as the patio doors. Beyond those, you’ll find a sun trap garden with a great mix of lawn and foliage, just perfect for green fingers.

If you want more nature, Walthamstow’s much-loved Lloyd Park is only a few minutes away on foot, while Epping Forest is just a short stretch further. You’re also within easy reach of Fellowship Square, home to the newly developed fountains - excellent for splashing about in on a hot day, as well as checking out the local event programme organised by the borough.

The brilliant coffee shop, Ruttle & Row, is eight minutes away, while the delights of Wood Street are just a short stretch further. There’s the wonderfully unique Wood Street Indoor Market, delicious brunch spot Dudley’s, excellent beer shop-cum-bar Clapton Craft and sensational bakery Chocolatine. Head in the other direction for The Dog & Duck, a family friendly gastropub - five mins from your front door. You’ll love exploring and uncovering other gems such as the cosy and comforting La Cafeteria, which serves up Mediterranean dishes just 12 minutes from your door.

- You’re only a 20 minute walk to Wood Street station, where you can nip to Liverpool Street in 20 minutes on the overground, or change one stop down the line at Walthamstow Central and head into the West End on the ultra-efficient Victoria line.
- The 950-seat Soho Theatre Walthamstow is set to open later this year, and it’s only 1.2 miles from your home.
- For a true sense of community, head to see the mighty Walthamstow FC in action. Their home ground is a short minute stroll away, and their sponsors Exale provide the beer.

a word from the owner...

"This is the house where we started our family, so it will always be a special place for us (we need to move out of London, hence why we're leaving!). There is a great sense of community on the street, with loads of young families who have been here for a very long time for good reason. There are so many things we love... The primary school on the block (Chapel End) which is amazing. Having Kitchener Park a 30 second walk from the front door - we've spent a lot of time pushing our kids on those swings you can see from the front room window. The joys of Lloyd Park less than 10 mins walk away. Our lovely new kitchen (only installed last year) which we'll be very sad to leave behind. The big garden which gets LOADS of sunshine all year round. The Dog and Duck around the corner (great pub with cracking beer garden and INCREDIBLE pizza menu). Being able to get onto the M11 within 10 mins for journeys to... well, anywhere. And finally, our brilliant neighbours who have looked after our house, our cat and our kids at various points. In summary, you'd be lucky to live here!"

Our Local Guide:

Kitchener Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
