3 Bedroom s

1 Bath

This spacious three-bedroom 1930s mid-terrace home is situated in a peaceful street in Chingford Mount, with easy access to Walthamstow, Epping Forest - and even central London via public transport.

Not only does it already come in at approximately 979 square foot, there’s also the potential extend should the need rise - great for peace of mind. Highlights inside include the two bright reception rooms, a first floor bathroom and immaculate decor, while externally it has a private driveway and a 65 foot rear garden with studio.

IF YOU LIVED HERE…

The 1930s was a great era for property, with an emphasis on well-proportioned layouts and large windows, something you can see evidence of here.

Your front reception room balances being bright and spacious with being cosy and snug, helped by the soft carpeting and pale palette, while the radiator cover and bay windows add some stylish tradition - a theme that runs throughout the rest of the house (you’ll also appreciate the rustic tiles in the kitchen).

At the rear, you’ll find your second reception room, which would make a fantastic dining room due to its proximately to the kitchen. It’s a great set-up for entertaining friends or family, especially as there are doors leading onto patio. There’s also a pergoda to enjoy while out in the spacious (65 foot) garden, as well as a sizeable studio, which could be used in countless ways.

You’ll find two double bedrooms upstairs, as well as third smaller room. The bathroom is bright and modern, with an over-tub shower an a separate WC for added convenience.

Venture outside to enjoy the shops, cafes and supermarkets of Chingford Mount. Japanese restaurant Super Sushi is a good option (the buffet there is great value), but there’s so much more to explore. Can’t decide between a movie or a historical woodland ramble? Have both. It’s a 10 minutes drive to Odeon Luxe Lee Valley, and the same distance in the other direction to the Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge, at the foot of Epping Forest.

You also have the option of nipping on a bus for a 20 minute journey to Walthamstow Central, where you can head to central London on the Victoria Line. Or if you’re up in Chingford already (where there are plenty more amenities to enjoy), get the overground directly to Liverpool Street in about half an hour.

WHAT ELSE?
- You’re just a ten minute stroll from Ridgeway Park, home to the Chingford & District Model Engineering Club, where members of the public can ride on the model railway on Sundays. Mansfield Park is only a short stretch further.
- Drivers can be on the M25 or North Circular in around 10 minutes.
- Parents will be pleased to know that there are plenty of 'Good' or 'Outstanding' primary and secondary schools in the area.

Our Local Guide:
Chingford

Hurst Avenue, Chingford — Stow Brothers

Chingford has flourished more quickly than people have caught on in recent years, making it something of a well kept secret for locals (it wasn’t us who told you). Full of village charm but only 26 minutes from central London, it’s easy to see the appeal.

With sprawling parks in the centre and the 6,000-acre Epping Forest lining the northern boundary, there’s more open space than you can shake a native hornbeam stick at, no wonder that Chingford has spawned two England football captains in recent decades.

For those looking to refuel after burning off all that energy in nature, there’s a thriving food and drink scene, although let’s be clear that the area’s admired status pre-dates the macchiato. Local historical landmark the Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge was built for Henry VIII way back in 1543.
