On the market chain-free, this bright and cheerful one-bedroom home is located in one of Walthamstow’s most sought-after spots, where you can stroll a few minutes in almost any direction and come across one of the area’s top-class amenities.

Walthamstow Central is mere minutes away, meaning you can hop on the tube or overground and be in the West End or City in less time than it’ll take you to write your shopping list.

IF YOU LIVED HERE…

Your front reception room is bright and spacious, with engineered flooring underfoot, pristine neutral decor and an ornate dado rail to bring a bit of period charm. The kitchen and bathroom are both smart and modern, while the double bedroom has more spotless decor. This whole space comes to over 550 square foot, so you can enjoy spreading out as you settle in. The immaculate finish will make unpacking all the more rewarding.

Within a short hop of your building you have some excellent food and drink options, including ramen joint Tonkotsu, Signature Brew’s burger venture Collab, sourdough specialist Today Bread, and award winning pizzeria Sodo.

You can enjoy some excellent entertainment at the wonderfully eclectic Trades Hall, a favoured spot for renowned comedians to perform warm-up sets. Ye Olde Rose & Crown also puts on some excellent shows, including annual pantos. Both venues are mere minutes on foot.

Further south, you’ve got Europe’s longest market which runs along Walthamstow High Street and the convenient chains found in the newly-developed the 17&Central shopping centre, which also has a fantastic food court operated by CRATE. If you need to escape further afield, Walthamstow Central station is served by both the Victoria line and Overground, so double the convenience.

WHAT ELSE?

- Next year you’ll also be able to enjoy being just a few minutes from the much anticipated Soho Theatre Walthamstow, which was been given a £30m investment as part of the council’s’ London Borough of Culture 2019 commitment to the arts and community.
- Despite all this urban living, you’re actually still surrounded by greenery; Lloyd Park is less than ten minutes away, where you’ll also find the William Morris Gallery, the former home of Walthamstow’s most famous son and a great place for rotating exhibitions.
- Walthamstow Village is just a short stroll away, offering even more food and drink options, such as the Queens Arms pub and E17 store (‘London’s poshest Spar’ according to the Evening Standard).

Walthamstow

Hoe Street, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
