"Our flat is based perfectly between Walthamstow Central Station (providing access to the Underground via the Victoria line and overground to Liverpool Street) and Walthamstow Queens Road (overground between Gospal Oak and Barking Riverside). It is ALSO more or less perfectly between Walthamstow Village, which offers a wide variety of organic and fairtrade cafes and shops, and Walthamstow Market, once the longest outdoor market but now just a very long market with plenty to browse (make sure to visit 2nd Sunday of each month as the farmers market is fantastic). For the flat itself; it’s a new build, rarely needs heating, has a built in Dishwasher, HUGE fridge and washer/dryer. There is a huge amount of storage available behind floor to ceiling mirrors and a utility cupboard. The bath is large enough to do a few lengths of and the shower is powerful enough to at least make you a little shorter if you have a long shower! While the balcony is large and catches a lot of sun, the real beauty of it is New Years Eve and your panoramic view from the 7th floor. I wasn’t at DDay, but I assume less explosives were used there than you’ll see from the balcony! Walthamstow itself is a lovely place to live, grow up and experience London – I’d recommend it to all whether you’re a long term Londoner or looking for your first place in the city."

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too. 

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
