IF YOU LIVED HERE…

Living up to its name, Walthamstow Gateway apartment is positioned in an unrivalled spot for exploring E17’s top perks… From the charming restaurants, cafes and gastro pubs of Walthamstow Village to the buzzing energy of Hoe Street, where you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining out or ordering in. Within a short hop of your building you have some excellent options, including ramen joint Tonkotsu, Signature Brew’s burger venture Collab and sourdough specialist Today Bread, which will be your go-to for coffee and delicious baked goods (grab a takeout to enjoy on your sixth floor balcony). Just as close to home, you’ve got Europe’s longest market which runs along Walthamstow High Street and the convenient chains found in the newly-developed the 17&Central shopping centre. If you need to escape further afield, Walthamstow Central station is served by both the Victoria line and overground, so double the convenience. Back at home, your open plan kitchen/living room comes in at an impressive 276 square feet, with pristine blonde engineered flooring sweeping the length, so there’s plenty of space for all elements of life - working, eating, relaxing. The kitchen area features sleek, glossy cabinets, integrated appliances and stylish tiling, so we’re sure entertaining will be on the agenda. The generous floor-to-ceiling living room balcony door allows natural light to stream through, while the views outwards will never fail to impress, especially on a clear day when you can see as far as the Shard and Canary Wharf. The bedroom is just as plush, with soft carpeting underfoot, while the bathroom is as contemporary as you’d hope for such a modern block, with sparkling fittings and an over-tub shower.

WHAT ELSE?

- Later this year you’ll also be able to enjoy being just a few minutes from the much anticipated Soho Theatre Walthamstow, which was been given a £30m investment as part of the council’s’ London Borough of Culture 2019 commitment to the arts and community.
- Despite all this urban living, you’re actually still surrounded by greenery; Lloyd Park is less than ten minutes away, where you’ll also find the William Morris Gallery, the former home of Walthamstow’s most famous son and a great place for rotating exhibitions.
- Be sure to check out the brand new food court at the 17&Central shopping centre, which is operated by CRATE. There’s everything from Vietnamese food to pizza, as well as a brilliant fun mini golf.

a word from the owner...

"This flat was a wonderful home for us for many years, and we will be very sorry to leave. We have loved being a part of the wonderful and vibrant Walthamstow community. You simply could not ask for more in terms of location. Less than 5 minutes from Walthamstow Village or the High Street, 15 minutes from Lloyd Park and with phenomenal transport links quite literally on your doorstep, it's a wonderful place to live. With sprawling views over London, the balcony gets the sun all afternoon and has gorgeous sunset views. As we are now expecting a child, it's time for us to move on, but this has been a truly wonderful home for us."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Hoe Street, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
