A beautifully appointed one bedroom apartment on the first floor of a 1930's development just moments from the bustling heart of Wanstead Village. It's all surrounded by manicured lawns and lovingly maintained green grounds.

The classic mock Tudor exterior is matched by a wealth of vintage features within, including gorgeous parquet flooring in your generous lounge.

You'll be luxuriating in a suite of elegantly appointed rooms, in a peaceful location just moments from one of our most desirable destinations. Once you've finished marvelling at the landscaped gardens, step inside for your handsome hallway with plenty of incidental space and that vast 200 square foot lounge straight ahead. In here, beautiful blonde parquet flooring flows underfoot, a striking statement wall sits opposite an imposing vintage timber mantelpiece with feature fireplace and the leaded bay window fills the space with natural light.

Elsewhere your bedroom's a luscious, 160 square foot double, with more of those vintage leaded windows and a wealth of floor to ceiling fitted storage accentuating the sense of space. Across the hall sits your kitchen, decked out with spotless pine cabinets, quartz effect worktops, slate grey vinyl underfoot and a striking mint green splashback. Finally your bathroom completes the pristine aesthetic, tiled from floor to hip in gleaming white metro tiles and complete with tub and dedicated shower cubicle.

Outside it's less than a half mile on foot to Wanstead High Street, the bustling heart of this popular East London village. Here you'll find a whole host of independent cafes competing to offer the most delicious coffees and tempting homemade treats. There're also some fine bars and gastropubs - former coaching inn The Cuckfield is our current favourite, an artisanal butchers, dedicated fishmongers and traditional pie and mash shop. It's all flanked by the open natural spaces of Memorial and Christ Church Greens.

- Snaresbrook tube station, sat on the central line in zone four, is less than ten minutes on foot and will get you directly to Liverpool Street in sixteen. So you have the City less than a half hour away door to door.
- Eagle Pond is just a third of a mile on foot, its calm blue waters your gateway to the endlessly explorable open green space of Epping Forest; the lungs of London.
- Venture a little off the beaten track to Nightingale Lane, just moments from your front door, for a whole new set of local delights. The Duke, Time Out 2016's favourite Wanstead Pub, is our pick, with weekday themes and a delicious menu.

a word from the owners.....

"Eagle Court has been home for over six years and whilst the time is right for us to move on it will be very hard to leave! The communal gardens are beautifully maintained and are a sun-trap during summer; perfect for mid morning cups of tea or an early evening glass of wine! The flat is a great space for hosting friends and family - we have loved our games nights and dinner parties here over the years. Wanstead truly offers the best of both worlds; village-living with close proximity to central London. We fell in love with Wanstead for its charming High Street and abundance of green spaces including Wanstead Park (with a beautiful bluebell wood in Spring), Eagle Pond and Epping Forest. Other than hosting some of our favourite pubs, cafes and restaurants (The Duke, The Cuckfield, Gail's, Bare Brew, Otto and Bombetta to name a few), Wanstead also holds a Farmers Market once a month which is a great opportunity to buy some local produce and support local businesses. This home holds a huge number of happy memories for us and we wish the new owners every happiness here."

Our Local Guide:

Hermon Hill, Wanstead — Stow Brothers

Thanks to its royal connections and grand properties, Wanstead has previously been compared to the likes of Twickenham and Richmond, although East Londoners are quick to point out that it has plenty enough merits of its own.

For a start, despite its villagey feel, it’s proudly nestled within London’s most creative quadrant and only a short hop on the Central line from the bright lights of the City. There’s also an abundance of green space – Wanstead Flats, Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and Chalet Wood, with the seasonal display of bluebells in the latter just calling out for an accompanying picnic from one of the well-stocked local delis or cafes. But that’s not to say that Wanstead’s charming pubs and restaurants aren’t delightful to look at themselves – it’ll be deciding which to go for that’s the problem.
