Entering this apartment you will be struck by the sense of light and space. All rooms branch off from a long central hallway, an inviting space with lovely wooden flooring underfoot, and a vista to the reception room window, you also have some handy built-in storage here. Two double bedrooms, both with snuggly carpets and bright, neutral decor enjoy picturesque views from the large windows. Pass these rooms and onto the gorgeous dual aspect lounge, coming in at over 240 square feet, this is a large and social room, with more of that lovely wooden flooring. This room opens out onto that private balcony; a coveted feature, it’s a serene spot for an intimate dinner, with far reaching views. The apartment is completed by the large bathroom, in keeping with the character this room is also brilliantly bright with white tiling, a sparkling suite and large walk-in waterfall shower. WHAT ELSE?

- You are moments from Toby Carvery, this stalwart of the local community seems to have been unaffected by the surge in gastro pubs offering roast dinners; it is an all you can eat carvery style restaurant that attracts queues of punters every Sunday. With an excellent range of veggie and vegan dishes as well as the usual meat it has something for everyone.
- You’re half a mile from Wanstead High Street, a picturesque street with a whole host of amenities. We recommend trying the French cuisine at Provender, or head to Bare Brew for a sumptuous brunch and freshly brewed cup of coffee.
- As mentioned you are moments from Epping Forest, with Eagle Pond and Leyton Flats within easy reach, giving acres of pretty forest to explore. The local area is perfectly suited for young professionals and families alike, with the popular Snaresbrook Nursery and Primary School minutes from your door.

a word from the owner...

"From the time I moved into the flat just over, 10 years ago, I have really enjoyed living here. The views from the balcony, across the treetops, with the Grade 2 listed Snaresbrook Crown Court in the distance, with the expanse of Epping Forest, literally on the doorstep, has always been a major focal point for my guests, friends and me; the fact that no one overlooks you, is a real bonus. With a south facing balcony, it feels so relaxing sitting outside for breakfast, tea or just taking a few minutes out, even on a chilly Winters Day. I often go cycling over the forest and surrounding open spaces such as Wanstead Flats, this has been a good part of living in the area. Being resident in the South Woodford/Wanstead area, between the two high streets (George Lane and Wanstead) with the quality of and abundance of restaurants, pubs, has been a big part of my life since living here. Not to mention the original Art Deco Cinema and social hubs, which have made entertaining family and friends, socialising, and going out, both a joy and an easy thing to do. Getting to and from the city, work, and shopping (Westfield/West End etc.) has been so easy; the station is no more than 3-4 minutes away, which again, adds to the sense of being part of and in the city, but well within the leafy relaxed suburbs. With nice neighbours up and down Hermitage walk and within the two blocks, it has been a pleasure living here and I will miss it, I am certain of that."

Hermitage Walk, South Woodford — Stow Brothers

Beautiful property, great amenities, green space, a wonderful sense of community and excellent transport links, honestly, what’s not to love about South Woodford?

No wonder it’s become such a popular area for families looking to make their money go a little further. For a start, there’s a Marks and Spencer and Waitrose on the vibrant high street, as well as independent stores and eateries. It has incredibly easy access to the City and West End (18 mins to Liverpool St or 27 mins Oxford Circus on the Central line), and with Epping Forest a stone’s throw in the other direction, residents really do feel like they’ve got the best of both worlds.

No wonder it’s such a happy community. Luckily they’re a friendly, inclusive bunch too, pleased to welcome both new residents and visitors alike.
