A bright and smart one bedroom apartment with on-site concierge, residents' gym and communal gardens. You're in pole position for Wood Street here, with a pick of open green spaces and the always brilliant Walthamstow Village also nearby.

The Village, the jewel in our borough's crown, is fifteen minutes' walk and home to the finest wining and dining destinations for miles around. The uber-Intagrammable neon wonderland God's Own Junkyard's should be your first port of call.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll be enjoying the calm that comes from living on a leafy, secluded development that's nonetheless just a few steps from a whole host of amenities. Your open plan living space comes in at a substantial 240 square feet, with plenty of room for dining and natural light aplenty bouncing off pristine white walls and pouring in through patio doors. Open these up for your Juliet balcony to take in that lovely leafy view.

Cosy carpet underfoot becomes marbled onyx tiles, cleverly zoning the kitchen area where a glossy suite of black cabinets is complemented by battleship grey countertops and accents. Next door and your bedroom's a solid double of ninety five square feet with more of that plush carpet underfoot and another tranquil verdant vista. Lovely. Lastly, the bathroom comes decked out in gleaming white metro tiles, eye-catching honeycomb flooring and a shower over the tub.

Outside and take the four minute stroll to Wood Street to find a whole host of independent shops, cafes and bars jostling for attention. Head to Wood Street Bakery to try one of Jen's cinnamon rolls washed down with a hibiscus and rose seltzer, or check out the thriving indoor market for treasures and trinkets. Wood Street station is half a mile from your front door and will get you to Liverpool Street in twenty minutes, or just change at Walthamstow Central for the speedy Victoria line.

WHAT ELSE?

- Rainy day and don't feel like walking? The 212 and W16 bus routes on Fulbourne Road will whisk you to Wood Street, central Walthamstow and Leytonstone. Forest Road offers three more handy routes.
- Waltham Forest Feel Good Centre is a fourteen minute stroll (cut across Chestnut Field) and home to superb health and fitness facilities including two pools with diving boards, state of the art gym, extreme adventure area, spa and treatment rooms.
- The Duke is your new local, just a nine minute jaunt on foot. Try their Portobello mushroom and halloumi burger and thank us later. The salted caramel White Russian's bound to hit the spot, too.

a word from the owner...

"A lovely flat with double doors that overlook the communal gardens. Great in the summer! Ideally located. Wood Street is very close, with it's shops and cafes. There is a good bus route and walkable to Walthamstow Central. I felt very safe when living here."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Hawker Place, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
