A handsomely appointed, elegantly arranged two bedroom, first floor Warner-style apartment, with all the features of this timeless design, including dedicated front door and garden. It's all just fifteen minutes from our famous High Street.

The brainchild of Walthamstow's first mayor Sir Thomas Courtenay Warner, Warner properties were built to last at the turn of the century, and remain some of our borough's most popular finds to this day.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll step under that signature Warner archway, through your dedicated front door and up to the landing for your generous front lounge, coming in at 165 square foot with pale engineered hardwood underfoot and a triple set of double glazed windows filling the space with natural light. Your first bedroom is next door, a solid double of over 100 square feet, with an amber yellow statement wall.

Continue down the hallway for your kitchen, a striking affair in black and white with glossy tiled flooring, complementary white cabinets, chunky dark worktops and an eye-catching mosaic splashback. Your bathroom's finished in a mix of sky blue and sandstone tiling, while bedroom two's another double, overlooking the garden. Speaking of which - head down an internal set of stairs for your own dedicated section - a length of lawn ending in a gravelled seating area.

Outside and, as noted, you're barely fifteen minutes on foot from our famous high street, home to Europe's longest street market. Here you'll also find the Walthamstow Mall, host to a huge range of shops and, recently added, CRATE Walthamstow, a gorgeous open plan space home to the High Street Social bar, Central Coffee Collective, a variety of street food vendors and even mini golf. St James Street station is just as close, and will get you straight to Liverpool Street in less than twenty minutes, for a speedy commute to the City.

WHAT ELSE?

- For your new local, check out the Hare & Hounds on Lea Bridge Road. A sumptuous gastropub just five minutes away on foot.
- With your loft space so far unexplored, you can potentially follow in the footsteps of your neighbours and develop your new home further (subject to the usual permissions).
- Parents will be pleased to find four 'Outstanding' primary schools, all in a half mile stroll or less.

a word from the owner...

"I had such a good feeling about the flat the moment I stepped inside - the natural light and spaciousness, coupled with its warm homely feel. Harris Street is lovely and quiet and lined with cherry blossom trees which burst into pink in early spring. Our neighbours are great, and there is a very active and supportive neighbourhood Facebook group. This area is brilliant, at the crossroads of Walthamstow, Leyton and Hackney. There are many green spaces nearby including Epping Forest, Waterworks Nature Reserve, Walthamstow Wetlands, Hackney Marshes and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The area has flourished with new and exciting independent businesses five minutes walk away, including a gelato parlour, an Italian/Japanese fusion deli, a zero waste shop, the newly-refurbished public library and the community hub Patchworks, in which a Blok fitness studio has just opened. The garden has brought us much joy. It gets all-day sun, and with a huge lavender bush and lots of poppies, it is a haven for the bees."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Harris Street, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
