a word from the owner...

"I've been living in Walthamstow for 15 years. The property is situated in a lovely, quiet residential are. There is a bus stop next door to the house, and you'll get to Walthamstow central in 15mins. Highams Park is a 10mins walk where you can connect to the overground train and its a 20mins train ride to Liverpool Street. There's a primary school across the road and there are many Secondary schools in the area. The local GP is also 7-8mins walk from the property. There is a convenience store only 20 metres from the house and a post box. Epping Forest is behind the house, a 5 mins walk. My neighbours on both sides are lovely people, we help one another, getting on really well. The neighbourhood is very safe and friendly. Very sad to leave the area. Most of my near neighbours been here for a while, people know each other on the streets."

Our Local Guide:

Hale End Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
