"When we bought the house it was a bit of a wreck, but we could see the potential a mile off. We have spent considerable time and energy getting it from a sad looking run down rental house, back to being a family home. There are very few properties of this size in Walthamstow so we were excited that this one offered a large garden as well as the space we needed for our new family. We also love the fact that it has side access. The rooms are decent proportionally and they retain many of the Victorian features that have been lost in other houses. The house has huge potential for extending both at the back and into the loft, something we were keen on, but ran out of time and money for! The neighbours have recently extended upwards and so obtaining planning permission is highly likely. The parking outside is free and there is plenty of room in the front to put in a driveway. The schools nearby are nothing short of outstanding. Our son attended Oakhill pre school and then Woodside Junior School, both of which have outstanding provision. Nearby Highams Park is full of independant shops and is great for grabbing coffee, sourdough or whatever else you need. Epping Forest is right on the doorstep with miles of beautiful forest to explore. Or catch the bus directly opposite the house into Walthamstow for dinner, drinks and the theatre. Our neighbours are friendly and will always take in a parcel or invite you over for tea. It's an amazing community."
