a word from the owner...

"We have loved living in our flat on Grove Green Road. Things that have been particularly special for us are the sunshine streaming into the living room in the afternoon, and watching sunsets right opposite in the evening. The area is a pleasure to live in - so much so that we are moving just down the street! It's a great part of Leytonstone, with easy access to the tube and overground, Wanstead Flats for nature lovers, the lovely Heathcote and Star gastropub over the road and Fillybrook a bit further down. There's also Unity Cafe close by for morning coffee and irresistible pastries, an ever reliable pharmacy, and a proper grocery shop just a few steps from the front door. We'll miss the flat!"

Our Local Guide:

Grove Green Road, Leytonstone — Stow Brothers

There’s more to Leytonstone than first meets the eye. Say the name to one person and they might think of the grand houses around Hollow Ponds, while say it to someone else and they’ll mention burgeoning South Leytonstone, or maybe the popular Bushwood. There are many different pockets, but they’re all united by the same inclusive community who recognise that it’s the balance of it all that makes Leytonstone so great.

The centre is arguably the high street with its eclectic shops and eateries, but you only have to venture slightly further away and you’ll come across hidden gems like bar Filly Brook on Grove Green Road, music venue Luna Lounge in Bushwood, or the The Hitchcock Hotel in Upper Leytonstone. Travel a little beyond and you’ll find further contrast with the vast green space that Hollow Ponds and the Wanstead Flats provide. Simply put, you’ll never get bored in Leytonstone.
