a word from the owner..

"From the moment I stepped inside my flat, I fell in love. As the only flat in The Shrubbery to retain all it's original features, it truly is unique and deserves someone who will cherish it as much as I have. One of my favourite things about living here is opening the backdoor and sitting in the garden to have breakfast- a simple pleasure that makes every day special. The Shrubbery has a wonderful community spirit, with the high st less than 2 minutes walk, the flat offers charm and convenience. Its a very special place to call home."

Our Local Guide:
Wanstead

Grosvenor Road, Wanstead — Stow Brothers

Thanks to its royal connections and grand properties, Wanstead has previously been compared to the likes of Twickenham and Richmond, although East Londoners are quick to point out that it has plenty enough merits of its own.

For a start, despite its villagey feel, it’s proudly nestled within London’s most creative quadrant and only a short hop on the Central line from the bright lights of the City. There’s also an abundance of green space – Wanstead Flats, Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and Chalet Wood, with the seasonal display of bluebells in the latter just calling out for an accompanying picnic from one of the well-stocked local delis or cafes. But that’s not to say that Wanstead’s charming pubs and restaurants aren’t delightful to look at themselves – it’ll be deciding which to go for that’s the problem.
