A perfectly placed, three bedroom Victorian end of terrace, sat right on the Walthamstow Village borders and brimming with vintage style and character throughout. There are also plenty of sleek, contemporary designer flourishes on show.

As well as your enviable end terrace position, you also have an unexplored loft space, giving you plenty of potential to follow in your neighbours' footsteps and add your own whole new storey.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll be stretching out in almost 1000 square feet of space, with your elegantly enormous through lounge serving as a splendid centrepiece. Dual aspect and naturally bright, in here lovingly restored original floorboards run underfoot, and you have a pair of exposed brick hearths, one home to a classic wood burner, combining with cast iron radiators to keep things cosy on winter nights.

Towards the rear, your substantial kitchen/diner is another fine sociable space, with a bay window facing a seamless and sleek flank of charcoal black cabinets, timber worktops and metro tile splashbacks. Smoky grey oversized tilework flows underfoot, and a pair of patio doors open out onto your rear garden ñ a generous mix of patio and lawn, with flourishing beds, timber fencing and a handy shed.

Head up that lovable timber staircase and your principal bedroom's a generous 180 square feet, with a tower radiator, vintage fireplace and floor to ceiling wardrobes. Bedroom two's another double, similarly styled with its own vintage hearth. The sleeping arrangements are completed by a charming single to the rear, while your family bathroomís a boutique affair in black and white with a vintage suite and shower over the tub.

Outside and, as noted, you're less than half a mile on foot from the heart of Walthamstow Village, famously home to a huge range of independent wining and dining establishments. From the cosy fires and friendly cats at The Nag's Head, the cocktail cool of Eat17, to the traditional treats at Orford Road Fish & Chips, you're bound to find a new favourite. And be sure to check out God's Own Junkyard, a neon wonderland like you've never seen.

WHAT ELSE?

- Wood Street overground stationís just a third of a mile on foot, for direct twenty minute runs to Liverpool Street, putting the City less than half an hour away door to door. Alternatively, ride one stop and swap to the Victoria line at Walthamstow Central.

- Whenever you want to get back to nature the endlessly explorable green space of Epping Forest and Hollow Ponds is just a ten minute stroll. Hire a row boat and explore the waterways with friendly ducks.

a word from the owner...

We have loved living here. Greville Road has a great community with fabulous neighbours. We have enjoyed easy access to the forest with Hollow Ponds a 10minute walk away and then there is the village with it's lovely cafes, pubs, restaurants and boutique shops. The schools in the area are also excellent and all within walking distance. Transport links are also good - overground, underground and the M11 are all close by.

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Greville Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
