"The property was purchased by our father in 1985 and has been in the family for almost 40 years now. It’s a lovely purpose-built flat, conveniently located for George Lane, South Woodford station and local bus routes. George Lane is home to numerous bars, restaurants and shops and the station provides quick and easy access to the City and West End. Another local gem is Epping Forest which is a mile and a half away and is fantastic for walks and mountain biking. The property is very quiet as it is set back from Gordon Road by some distance and boasts a large communal garden to the rear. The garden is very well maintained and is also very quiet as the property is backed-onto by allotments. Hopefully, the flat will serve its new owner as well as it did our Dad who was very happy there for many years."

No wonder it’s become such a popular area for families looking to make their money go a little further. For a start, there’s a Marks and Spencer and Waitrose on the vibrant high street, as well as independent stores and eateries. It has incredibly easy access to the City and West End (18 mins to Liverpool St or 27 mins Oxford Circus on the Central line), and with Epping Forest a stone’s throw in the other direction, residents really do feel like they’ve got the best of both worlds.
