An impeccably elegant three bedroom semi-detached family home, with twin reception rooms, separate garage and loft room. You're located just a short walk from Highams Park station with plenty of open green space within easy reach. The interior's also flawless, with luxurious fixtures and designer touches.

Set in more than 5000 square feet of grounds with a grand drive way, this is rural city living at its finest.

You'll be stretching out in a sumptuously appointed, impressively spacious array of rooms. Your first reception room totals 215 square feet and has a real manor feel, with a large bay window and impressive garden views. Underfoot you have bespoke timber flooring and there's a vintage ebony wood burner in the hearth.

The separate dining room is a generous 140 square feet and the perfect space to host the most discerning dinner guests. You have striking statement wallpaper, a vintage ebony hearth and mantel and – as with so much of this amazing property – beautiful green garden views.

The kitchen is as high-end as you'll by now expect, with striking designer fitted cabinets, broad engineered hardwood underfoot, plenty of room for dining and beautifully vintage fittings. Even the hallway's impressive – unusually wide with glossy hardwood floors and designer radiators.

Upstairs the master bedroom is a capacious double of 200 square feet, bedroom two is another substantial double and bedroom three's a generous single. All are beautifully finished and, of course, each one enjoys a tranquil view over the grounds. The loft room is currently in use as a fourth bedroom but – skylit and 270 square feet - it's ideal for all manner of uses, from home office to studio. You also have potential to develop it still further with a dormer extension (subject to the usual permissions).

Have we mentioned the bathroom? It's packed with the kind of luxury features and designer fittings more normally found in top end boutique hotels. You have a walk in rainfall shower, large format floor tiling and a jacuzzi tub. Sheer luxury. The surrounding gardens are, as we've mentioned, really more like grounds. An expanse of lush, thriving lawn and a huge array of screening greenery and overhanging foliage. Endlessly explorable, these gardens will be delighting you and yours for years to come.

Further afield, you have Highams Park overground just a half a mile away on foot. From here you can get directly to Liverpool Street in only twenty three minutes, with plenty of other popular destinations along the way, from Walthamstow Central (for West End transfers, the Empire Cinema and the award winning gastropubs of Walthamstow Village) to Hackney Downs (achingly hip destinations for your weekend).

- Local schools are plentiful and excellent; you have fourteen primary/secondaries in a one mile radius, all rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.
- Not only do you have the aforementioned private garage, there's also additional off street parking. Drivers can be on the North Circular in a little over ten minutes.
- Highams Park Playground, packed with things to do for children of all ages, is a mere seven minute walk.

a word from the owner.....

"Gordon Avenue is a lovely home. It is quiet, surrounded by natural spaces; like living in the countryside but in London. We don't draw the curtains at night as we are well screened from neighbours and the road. Gordon Avenue is a friendly road. We chat in the street although aren't in and out of each other's homes. We have a window cleaner and a gardening firm who visit regularly so the work in the garden is covered if you need that. At night the stars are visible in the back garden, you can see the stars best if the garden fairy lights round the perimeter are not on. Owls are common as are squirrels. The geese from the lake fly over each morning and evening and dragon flies are common visitors in the garden."

Our Local Guide:
Highams Park

Gordon Avenue, Highams Park — Stow Brothers

Not everyone in the capital has heard of Highams Park, and that’s only a good thing. Although it’s well connected to Central London on the Overground to Liverpool Street, it’s tucked out of sight enough to ensure that the picturesque woodland and coffee shops have a slightly exclusive feel. That’s not to say that the locals are a cliquey bunch though – far from it, they’ve been welcoming savvy families and individuals after a little more bang for their buck for years.

All the extra space offered up from Epping Forest and Highams Park itself might be the main draw, but newcomers stay for the perks; the silver-lining of the secret slowly getting out is a vibrant and buzzing community which has created a lively food and drink scene.
