On the market chain-free, this light-filled two-double bedroom Victorian terrace home has undergone a thoughtful renovation, where the period features balance in harmony with the modern updates. As well as the pristine bedrooms, you’ll find a first floor bathroom, two bright reception rooms, a charming kitchen and a west-facing rear garden. There’s also the potential to extend the 855 square foot property further.

It’s all situated an eight minute stroll from Plaistow tube - and if you fancy a wander north-west, you’ll find Westfield Stratford and the Olympic Park less than half an hour away on foot.

IF YOU LIVED HERE…

What a great area to lay down some roots… Not only have you got a few little hidden gems on your doorstep, such as the up-and-coming community of Plaistow and lesser-explored part of Stratford, but there’s also iconic landmarks within walking distance, like the Olympic Park and new Royal Docks City Hall.

Back in your home, you’ll love the fresh decor and spotless fittings. The front reception room is brilliantly bright thanks to the bay windows, which will do a great job of showcasing features such as the charming fire surround and mantlepiece. The second reception is just as immaculate, as is the rustic kitchen, where you’ll love the quarry flooring, cafe-style curtains and shaker-esque units. Head upstairs and you’ll find two spotless double-bedrooms, as well as a bathroom with a charming fire surround and vintage-style fittings. There’s plenty of storage throughout too.

Outside, the rear garden is low maintenance with a rear patio and summerhouse. Beyond, you’ve got plenty more greenery, with both West Ham Park and Stratford Park a short stroll away.

Want to travel further? Plaistow is served by the District and Hammersmith & City lines, so you can nip to central London in less than 15 mins from either stations. Want to travel further still? You’re around 20 minutes to London City Airport door to door.

WHAT ELSE?
- Drivers can be on the North Circular in around 15 minutes.
- Parents will be pleased to know that you’ve got an abundance of great primary and secondary schools within the area.
- You’re only a short stretch from the dynamic Three Mills Green and Three Mills Island, where you’ll find the world’s biggest tidal mill, with a cafe and sprawling Wild Kingdom play space.

a word from the expert...

"I spend a lot of time in Stratford — running in the Olympic park, cycling at the outdoor Velo Park, shopping at Westfield or simply meeting friends. The area has come on leaps and bounds since the Olympics, with the new Olympic Village creating loads of amenities, green spaces, sports facilities … and not least Westfield, which is a must for shoppers and foodies. Allegra, a sensational seafood restaurant on the seventh floor of The Stratford hotel would be my not-so secret pick, fantastic food, and a stunning roof terrace. For a lazy Sunday brunch, try The Breakfast Club along the canal at Here East. Well-connected and with world-class amenities, Stratford is an area to watch."   KYLI CLAYTON  E11 BRANCH MANAGER

Our Local Guide:
Stratford

Geere Road, Stratford — Stow Brothers

Given it’s been almost a decade since the Olympic torch touched down in Stratford, it’s probably time to let this part of East London shine on its own. It truly is a destination in its own right, with a multitude of restaurants, bars and pubs cropping up in the area, and that’s before we’ve even mentioned one of the largest shopping centres in Europe. Yep, Westfield might draw most visitors to the area, but Stratford’s Market Village is a hidden gem and where you’ll get a true flavour of the community.

Of course, we do have to acknowledge the legacy of the London 2012 Games and the regeneration it brought to the area, including the soon to be opened East Bank. With the former Olympic venues open to the public, residents have an incredibly advanced sport and fitness facilities, while the ArcelorMittal Orbit, the world’s longest helter skelter, is quite literally Stratford’s standout feature.

Transport links

Stratford’s quite the hub. With the launch of the Crossrail, it is now on the Elizabeth line, while high-speed trains already travel between Stratford International and Ashford. The Overground runs to North London, while the Jubilee line and DLR go to Canary Wharf. Finally, London Underground’s Central line nips to the West End.

Vibrant shopping district

What can’t you get in Stratford? It really is a shopper’s delight, with everything from the luxury boutiques, high street retailers and department stores at Westfield Stratford, to the essential shops and market stalls within the Stratford Centre, and the independent stores of the East Village.

Recent regeneration/Post-Olympics

A key aim for the successful London 2012 Games bid was the wider regeneration of the area, which has resulted in one of the world’s largest cultural districts, East Bank. Universities UCL and UAL’s London College of Fashion will join the BBC, Sadler’s Wells and the V&A, opening 2022-2023.
