Charming two bedroom, semi detached Victorian house in a wonderful spot close to Blackhorse Road. You will love the sense of space downstairs, especially in the open plan kitchen diner which opens out to your private and sheltered garden. With attractive original features dotted throughout, including original cast iron fireplaces, you will appreciate how characterful this home is.

Forest Road is a prime spot in our beloved borough, a thoroughfare from Blackhorse Rd right through to Epping Forest, and home to some favourite local highlights including William Morris Gallery, Lloyd Park and Fellowship Square.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

As we mentioned, your downstairs living space is wonderfully spacious with three separate areas. You will enjoy coming home and relaxing in your living room, wonderfully bright thanks to the high ceilings and with an original fireplace and handy built-in shelving you are able to settle in immediately. The heart of this home is the open planned kitchen and dining room; the kitchen is fantastically well appointed and super stylish sleek white floor and wall cabinets with contrast wooden countertops. You’ll love the attractive slate grey flooring that sweeps throughout here and the dining room, tying these two areas together seamlessly. The kitchen is spacious enough for a dining table, but you also have that adjoining dining room that is a wonderfully versatile space. A spectacularly sunny affair, with huge bi-fold doors overlooking the calm oasis of the back garden this space could double as a playroom or home office. Speaking of the garden, this secluded spot is mostly paved with mature shrubs and trees in the raised beds, and is a space you can really tend to and create something amazing. Back inside, the bathroom is also downstairs. As stylish as the rest of this home, with more of that grey flooring, metro style tiling and painted panelling you have a three piece suite in here with shower over tub feature. Your two bedrooms are nestled perfectly on the first floor. The largest of these rooms is at the front of the house and is bright and breezy, with a gorgeous cast iron fireplace. It is a great sized double with space for storage. The second bedroom is a lovely room for children, or as a spare room / home office.

WHAT ELSE?

- From Blackhorse Road Station, a short stroll from your door, you can pick up the Victoria Line into the West End in as little as 15 minutes, or the Overground.
- You are tantalisingly close to what has been dubbed ‘The Blackhorse Beer Mile’. With a whole host of Taprooms and Breweries serving up locally brewed ales as well as a thriving programme of events. We recommend heading to Big Penny Social and Signature Brew.
- There are excellent schools in the immediate locale, including the ever popular Greenleaf Primary.

a word from the owner...

"We love the area and how inclusive, friendly and vibrant it is. There is lots to do locally including Lloyd Park Farmers Market every Saturday, lots of parks and green spaces including The Wetlands, Lea River and Epping Forest which are all very easy to get to, and local micro-breweries along Blackhorse Lane. There are also lots of community and child friendly groups and activities running throughout the year. Another benefit is easy to access transport links with Blackhorse Road Station on the Victoria line and Overground just a 7 min walk away, meaning you can be in central London in just 25 mins, alternatively there are also good train links into Liverpool Street and out to Epping Forest, plus lots of local bus routes. There are also great coffee shops, pubs and restaurants in Walthamstow and the surrounding area, and walking through Walthamstow Village is always a lovely experience."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Forest Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
