There’s even potential to extend further if you want to go beyond the existing 2208 square foot of space.

Highams Park station is a short stroll away, providing easy access to Central London, although the area’s excellent food and drink scene will mean you’ll want to stick around as much as possible. As for greenery, Epping Forest is mere metres away, so you can move between urban buzz and sprawling nature with amazing ease.

IF YOU LIVED HERE…
Beyond that convenient driveway and ornate porch, your reception area is flooded with light thanks to the large sash windows. The thoughtful decor and painted flooring result in a feeling of warmth, while features such as the gas fireplace, ornate beading and space-saving vertical column radiators make an impact.

While the reception room might be your retreat, the kitchen-diner will undoubtedly be the heart of your home, with the lounge section, dining table and breakfast bar offering various options for socialising within one single space. Due to the generous skylights and sliding patio doors, you can’t miss the thoughtful touches, such as the stylish units, glossy counters and designer fittings. There’s even a utility room, as well as an impressive choice of integrated appliances to keep all hosts happy.

The patio doors open onto the impressive rear garden with a spacious lawn and unique mix of beautiful foliage. At the rear you’ll find you convenient and well designed garden studio, which could be used in countless ways.

Back inside, head upstairs - past the ground floor WC, and you’ll find a charming family-sized bathroom. The four bedrooms are just as immaculate, with more considered decor. The front bedroom is particular grand, with sage green walls, timber floors and a spacious ensuite. In the loft you’ll find the fifth and final bedroom.

The home is just a short stroll from Highams Park station, which means you can nip to Liverpool Street on the overground in around 25 minutes. As well as having a thriving food and drink scene (be surety check out Vino Tap, The Stag & Lantern Micropub and Melting Pot Bistro), the area is home to a vast amount of green space, including the edge of Epping Forest and, of course, Highams Park itself, which houses a tranquil lake, flower meadow and fun-packed playground. a word from the owner...

"We have loved living here, with Epping Forest and the lake feeling like an extension of our back garden, watching the seasons change is truly magical. Having a stop off at Humphreys (the cafe in the park) for a well earned coffee or even a bacon sandwich. Dropping into the Stag and Lantern for a well earned beer at the end of the week or if that's full, pop over the road for a wine at Vinanoplis. London being 20 minutes away, but yet you have all the joy of fantastic amenities, community and country living. Falmouth Avenue, Highams Park, is truly a treasure of a place to live."

Our Local Guide:
Highams Park

Falmouth Avenue, Highams Park — Stow Brothers

Not everyone in the capital has heard of Highams Park, and that’s only a good thing. Although it’s well connected to Central London on the Overground to Liverpool Street, it’s tucked out of sight enough to ensure that the picturesque woodland and coffee shops have a slightly exclusive feel. That’s not to say that the locals are a cliquey bunch though – far from it, they’ve been welcoming savvy families and individuals after a little more bang for their buck for years.

All the extra space offered up from Epping Forest and Highams Park itself might be the main draw, but newcomers stay for the perks; the silver-lining of the secret slowly getting out is a vibrant and buzzing community which has created a lively food and drink scene.
