This bright and characterful two-bedroom period conversion benefits from classic features, a private side entrance and rear garden, a beautifully designed kitchen extension, a cellar with extensive storage space and an excellent location on a quiet street that’s within easy reach of some of the area’s most exciting attractions.

Not only is Walthamstow Central station a short walk away for easy access to the capital, you’ve got everything from Lloyd Park and the soon-to-open Soho Theatre right on your doorstep.

Thanks to its pristine condition, you can instantly welcome friends into your beautiful 850 plus square foot home. The interior palette is made up of soft, warm tones, resulting in a calm living environment, so you’ll enjoy relaxing on your own too.

The original features blend seamlessly with the contemporary updates, such as the brilliantly bright extension at the rear, so you’ll long appreciate the love and care that’s gone into the design. It’ll be hard to pick your favourite feature in the custom-fitted kitchen, but you can add the natural wood flooring, integrated appliances, custom radiator covers, generous bi-fold doors, skylights, charming cabinets, tumble dryer and double oven with large grill to the list. It’s perfect for entertaining, or enjoying by yourself.

You’ll love the Victorian-style tiles found in the hallway and bathroom, which contrast beautifully with the warm wood found elsewhere. The bedrooms are both generous doubles with plenty of natural light.

During warming months, make the most of your solely-owned south-facing garden, with its lovely pergola and sizeable lawn - and there’s even an excellent spot for a garden studio at the rear. The front garden is also solely owned by this property. And you don’t have to travel far for even more greenery; your new home is less than a ten minute stroll from the glorious Lloyd Park, where you’ll also find the William Morris Gallery, the former home of Walthamstow’s most famous son.

Mere minutes away, you’ll find “London’s best pizza” (according to the Evening Standard) at Sodo on Hatherley Mews, while just beyond, the eateries on Hoe Street are humming with more accolades (Yard Sale Pizza, Spicebox and Shri Lakshmi all have awards to their name). Head a few minutes further for Walthamstow Village for an even wider choice of top eateries and pubs.

You’re a few minutes stroll from Europe’s longest market, which runs along the High Street. Veer left and you’ll reach the nine-screen Empire cinema, or head directly on and you’ll find the convenient chains in the 17&Central shopping centre.

Walthamstow Central station is six minutes away on foot for direct twenty minute runs to Oxford Circus via the Victoria line and Liverpool Street via the Overground.

- Just two minutes from you is East of Eden, offering yoga and pilates whenever you need to do some serious stretching
- Craft beer fans can get their ‘exercise’ on the Blackhorse Lane Beer Mile, where taprooms include Signature, Exale, Hackney, Wild Card and Truman’s - you can be at the first stop within around twenty mins.
- New local? How about The Chequers on the High Street, a favourite with many due to its with real fires and delicious roasts.

a word from the owners....

"This has been a wonderful home for us and our dog! Completing a huge extension during the 2020 coronavirus lockdown was challenging to say the least, but the results were worth it. We love our open-plan living space that makes entertaining friends and family really easy, with doors opening straight into the garden. In the summer the flat and garden feel like one big space: great for barbecues! Elmsdale Road is an unusually friendly community with an active whatsapp group and annual street party with food, games and a bouncy castle for kids. The location has suited us really well too, with easy access to the tube, overground and all the shops of Walthamstow central as well as Lloyd park and the marshes for dog walks."

Our Local Guide:

Elmsdale Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
