"This has been a wonderful home for us and our dog! Completing a huge extension during the 2020 coronavirus lockdown was challenging to say the least, but the results were worth it. We love our open-plan living space that makes entertaining friends and family really easy, with doors opening straight into the garden. In the summer the flat and garden feel like one big space: great for barbecues! Elmsdale Road is an unusually friendly community with an active whatsapp group and annual street party with food, games and a bouncy castle for kids. The location has suited us really well too, with easy access to the tube, overground and all the shops of Walthamstow central as well as Lloyd park and the marshes for dog walks."

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too. 

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
