IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll be reclining in your sumptuous lounge with a half-shuttered bay window, charming stove in the fireplace and 155 square foot to stretch out in. Follow the chessboard flooring in your hallway past the handy WC and utility area, for what's bound to be the heart of your new home - your 300 square foot kitchen/diner. In here you have a glossy suite of white cabinets, a chef's island with breakfast bar, plus a skylight flooding the dining area in natural light. With views through to the garden via bi-folding floor to ceiling doors, this is a fine hosting space.

Slide back the doors to open the entire space up to your fifty five foot west-facing garden. Out here a stretch of lawn is flanked by beds bursting with bamboo, and you have that 105 square foot garage with rear access. Head back inside and upstairs sit two impeccable and generous double bedrooms, as well as a single ideal for a child or home working spot. The bathroom's tiled from floor to ceiling and comes with pewter grey fixtures and fittings, plus a shower over the tub. Lastly, with the loft space so far untapped you can extend skywards as some of your neighbours have done (STTP).

It's a nine minute cycle or seven minute drive to Chingford Station, where the Overground will take you to Walthamstow Central for the Victoria Line in nine minutes or straight to Liverpool Street in twenty seven. Cut through Epping Forest for all the amenities of central Chingford on Station Road, where a choice of nine bus routes converge to shuttle you to all manner of handy destinations. You'll find a choice of new favourite spots here, including Brick Lane Bagel Co., Hokkaido Teppanyaki, and the Rusty Bike pub.

a word from the owner...

"Drysdale has been an incredible home to me and I have no doubt that it will make its next owners incredibly happy. This house has been a real renovation project, a real life journey, and has made a real impact on many people, but, it's time for me to move on. Our Local Guide:
Chingford

Drysdale Avenue, Chingford — Stow Brothers

Chingford has flourished more quickly than people have caught on in recent years, making it something of a well kept secret for locals (it wasn’t us who told you). Full of village charm but only 26 minutes from central London, it’s easy to see the appeal.

With sprawling parks in the centre and the 6,000-acre Epping Forest lining the northern boundary, there’s more open space than you can shake a native hornbeam stick at, no wonder that Chingford has spawned two England football captains in recent decades.

For those looking to refuel after burning off all that energy in nature, there’s a thriving food and drink scene, although let’s be clear that the area’s admired status pre-dates the macchiato. Local historical landmark the Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge was built for Henry VIII way back in 1543.
