a word from the owner...

"I have lived in Atkins Square for 6 1/2years now and in Hackney for 10yrs. Each block has its own community and residence look out for one another. Hackney is an amazing borough with plenty of ongoing investment in environmental and social initiatives and we’re lucky to be run in such a forward thinking manor. Hackney Central and Hackney Downs are currently undergoing significant improvements to improve its green credentials and make it more pedestrian and cycle friendly. A short walk to London Fields and plenty of cafes, restaurants and nightlife in the surrounding areas. Atkins Square is served well by 2 overground lines and so many great bus routes you can get to so many places in the city super easily. Hackney and Atkins square will always hold a special place in our hearts."

Dalston Lane, Hackney — Stow Brothers

Where do you start with Hackney? It can feel like it’s all been said before, but, of course, it can’t have been because the area is constantly evolving, which is what keeps it so fresh. It’s just what happens when a neighbourhood has such a high population of creative innovators.

Even fans of Hackney’s scruffier edges love the imaginative ways that the area has been regenerated, with thoughtfully-designed stores, bars and coffee shops sitting comfortably alongside sleek architecture and beloved institutions such as Ridley Road Market.

Despite all this urban buzz, the area has a surprisingly large amount of green space, including Hackney Wick, Victoria Park and London Fields, which fill up with a mix of visitors and locals at weekends. Whether they go on to have food at a Michelin-starred restaurant, a pint in The Talbot or a swim in the lido, they’re all united in their love of this most unique community.
