"We only moved into 78 Cowley Road 2 years ago and truth be told we don’t want to leave. However, changing family circumstances mean we need to move away to start anew and find new owners for our beloved home. Wanstead is the perfect location for anyone looking to strike the balance between city and country living. Just 30 minutes from central London by tube or bike, yet with a true village feel thanks to the surrounding parks, forests, and green spaces. The High Street is a gem. With known brands and local businesses, it has everything you could need and more. It also hosts a monthly farmers market and countless other events throughout the year including craft fairs & fringe events. There’s also a variety of pubs and restaurants that cater to every taste - even as vegans we are spoilt for choice. Cowley road is one of the most desirable streets in Wanstead and when you walk down it, you’ll soon realise why. Not least due to its quiet nature, proximity to the High Street, and distance from both Wanstead and Snaresbrook stations, but it also boasts stunning Victorian architecture each house with its own unique charm. The beautiful trees which line the street help welcome the different seasons, whilst providing privacy to the houses from outside. Thanks to its royal connections and grand properties, Wanstead has previously been compared to the likes of Twickenham and Richmond, although East Londoners are quick to point out that it has plenty enough merits of its own. 

For a start, despite its villagey feel, it’s proudly nestled within London’s most creative quadrant and only a short hop on the Central line from the bright lights of the City. There’s also an abundance of green space – Wanstead Flats, Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and Chalet Wood, with the seasonal display of bluebells in the latter just calling out for an accompanying picnic from one of the well-stocked local delis or cafes. But that’s not to say that Wanstead’s charming pubs and restaurants aren’t delightful to look at themselves – it’ll be deciding which to go for that’s the problem.
