In here timber cabinets compliment duck egg walls, while garden views beckon from the rear. Next door you'll find your bathroom, sublime in Aegean blue glossy tiles with a shower over the tub and heated towel rail.

Across the hallway sits your generous 125 square foot bedroom complete with a garden view and a wealth of built-in storage. Your lounge comes in at 215 square feet, brimming with nods to the property's vintage heritage, from the intricate ceiling moulding overhead to the bay window (with another timber surround) and beautiful period fireplace. South-facing and with plenty of space for dining, it's a welcoming spot all year round. Lastly, your cellar totals a huge 390 square feet, ideal for turning to all manner of uses.

Alternatively, Blackhorse Road station is twelve minutes away and will get you straight to Kings Cross even faster. Our vibrant CRATE St James is a four minute stroll from your front door for a range of independent entrepreneurial offerings, while Walthamstow High Street is your gateway to Europe's longest street market, the Mall, Empire Cinema and on to Hoe Street and The Village, here there are enough esoteric offerings to make every weekend brim with new discoveries.

a word from the owners....

"Since we moved onto Coppermill Lane almost five years ago we have fallen in love with the flat and the area. The neighbourhood has a really close community feel, with the Mill at the end of the road providing a hub, as well as lots of events through the year like the E17 Arts Trail, comedy and live music at the Rose and Crown, local dog shows and Christmas carols at the market. There are good restaurants and bars nearby – Don Francisco y la Luna at the end of the road serves great tapas, and we’ve enjoyed Friday night cocktails at the 56, just a stone’s throw away. Loads of new coffee shops and bakeries have opened up recently, including our new favourite, Beaten by a Whisker. The flat itself is unique, cosy in the winter and bright and airy in the summer, with lots of beautiful original features. The basement has been incredibly useful as a space for running our vintage business. We get on really well with all the neighbours – you can even pop upstairs for a yoga class! The big shared garden is great for summer barbecues with friends, while we’ve spent many evenings having dinner and drinks in our secluded private garden. We’re really going to miss living on Coppermill Lane but we’re sure whoever lives here next will love it just as much as we have."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Coppermill Lane, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
