"It has been an amazing and much loved family home. My grandfather purchased it when it was first built in 1934 and it has seen 4 generations of our family live here. I have lived here for 35 years with my family. It's a quiet road with no through traffic, and it's only a 12 minute walk to Highams Park Station for trains to Liverpool Street Station, perfect for evenings out in London and day trips with the children. There's a sports field and Forest just 5 minutes walk away and their are nice restaurants within walking distance (Higham's Park) or a 5 minute drive to North Chingford."

Not everyone in the capital has heard of Highams Park, and that’s only a good thing. Although it’s well connected to Central London on the Overground to Liverpool Street, it’s tucked out of sight enough to ensure that the picturesque woodland and coffee shops have a slightly exclusive feel. That’s not to say that the locals are a cliquey bunch though – far from it, they’ve been welcoming savvy families and individuals after a little more bang for their buck for years. 

All the extra space offered up from Epping Forest and Highams Park itself might be the main draw, but newcomers stay for the perks; the silver-lining of the secret slowly getting out is a vibrant and buzzing community which has created a lively food and drink scene.
