IF YOU LIVED HERE…

It’s an area that’s now renowned across the capital as a hub for entertainment - and you’re right in the heart of it, but let’s start at home…

Set on the first floor, your dual aspect living area is bursting with natural light, with smart flooring sweeping the length - and plenty of room for dining and relaxing. The kitchen area has white cabinets and contemporary appliances, so hosting will be top of the list when you settle in, which should be easy considering how immaculate the whole apartment is.

The bedrooms are just as smart, with more spotless decor. One has a contemporary ensuite, while there’s another sleek bathroom off the spacious hallway, where you’ll find two built-in cupboards. The balcony will be your favourite spot for relaxing on warm days - and as it’s covered, you can make use of the space rain or shine.

Perhaps surprisingly for some, there’s an abundance of green space nearby; the fantastic Walthamstow Wetlands is only a few minutes away, while Lloyd Park is a stroll in the other direction.

As for urban delights, top rated restaurant SlowBurn is five minutes on foot, while the impressively designed bouldering studio Yonder is even closer. You’ll find a similar creative energy at Blackhorse Workshop, a studio where you can sign-up for fantastic part-time courses. If drinking is on the agenda, you’ll be delighted to discover that you’re a short skip from the Blackhorse Beer Mile, home to some of East London's most exciting craft beer breweries, bars and street food. Big Penny Social hosts regular events, such as a vintage market which attracts visitors from across the capital.

It’s a three minute stroll to Blackhorse Road station, where the Victoria line will get you straight to Kings Cross in around 15 minutes, or hop on the Overground, which zips between Gospel Oak and Barking. Buses are plentiful too.

what else?

- Walk to Walthamstow Central for Europe’s longest market which runs along Walthamstow High Street, as well 17&Central shopping centre and newly opened Forest Cinema. - Within a few months you’ll also be able to enjoy the benefit of being just over a mile from the much anticipated Soho Theatre Walthamstow, which has been given a £30m investment as part of the council’s 'London Borough of Culture 2019 commitment to place culture at the heart of its communities' (one of the reason’s we love Walthamstow so much). - Just five minutes away you’ll find the independent wine shop and bar Forest Wines, which specialises in organic, biodynamic, natural wines and also has a great selection of craft beers. Five minutes beyond that, you’ve even got an original Banksy, preserved within the Bonners fish and chip shop signage.

Walthamstow

Collendale Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
