A superbly finished and expertly extended four bedroom Victorian end of terrace, with over 1200 square feet of living space behind that handsome red brick frontage. Our epic nature reserve, Walthamstow Wetlands, is just five minutes on foot.

You have a lovely, low maintenance courtyard garden to the rear, bursting with thriving greenery and secluded by timber fencing.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll be welcoming friends and family into your splendidly appointed, twenty four foot long through lounge. Perfectly restored original floorboards run underfoot, with the dual lounge spaces nicely zoned by an artful archway and subtle, smoky colour schemes. Dual aspect, there's plenty of natural light, flowing on into another fine hosting space laid semi open to the rear.

Your 180 square foot, elegantly extended kitchen/diner sits below vaulted ceilings and twin skylights, with rear patio doors letting yet more light flood through. Classic chessboard tiling runs underfoot, while eggshell blue cabinets sit below timber counters. Upstairs and your family bathroom is a splendidly spacious boutique affair, with vintage suite, tub and dedicated rainfall shower cubicle.

Your bay windowed principal bedroom sits to the front, with a pristine paintjob, floor to ceiling windows and plenty of natural right. Bedroom two, another stylish double, completes the first floor sleeping arrangements. Head up the stairs again now to the expertly realised loft conversion, where a sixteen foot dual aspect, skylit sleeper leading to plentiful eaves storage sits off the landing, alongside a strikingly colourful spare WC. Finally, bedroom four ñ currently in use as a study, sits to the rear.

Outside, and as well as having London's largest nature reserve on your doorstep, you're a mere half a mile on foot from the bottom of Walthamstow High Street. Here you'll find St James Street station (for direct twenty minute runs to Liverpool Street), Europe's longest street market (great for street food in particular) and CRATE St James (our ever-evolving social and cultural hub, home to everything from burger bars to yoga studios).

WHAT ELSE?

- Parents will be pleased to find fifteen 'Outstanding' or 'Good' primary/secondary schools all within a one mile radius.
- With St James Street station just ten minutes on foot you have a door to door City commute of half an hour. Alternatively take the fifteen minute stroll to Blackhorse Road for the Victoria line and fifteen minute runs to Kings Cross, to be in the heart of London just as quickly.
- For your new local we have to recommend a personal favourite, The Chequers on Walthamstow High Street. Just a fifteen minute stroll for cosy fires in winter, a lovely beer garden in summer, and delicious food all year round.

a word from the owner...

"We have loved making this house into our family home over the last 10 years. Chester Road is at the heart of the amazing Coppermill community, with the nearby schools, parks and street parties bringing everyone together regularly. We’ve loved being so close to the Wetlands and Walthamstow Marshes, as well as busy St James street with its coffee shops, bars and pizza places. The excellent transport links to central London are close by and there is great cycle access to the city and beyond. We will miss Chester Road dearly, but wish many years of happiness to the next family to make it a home."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Chester Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
