IF YOU LIVED HERE

You'll be revelling in the sumptuous decor and sheer amount of space to stretch out in - a palatial 1900 square feet. Your gated driveway makes for an idyllic introduction, bordered by lavender, lawn and a cherry tree. Inside, your first reception comes in at 145 square feet with a period hearth, wall panelling and oak laminate flooring underfoot. Next door reception two is 190 square feet and home to a vintage fireplace, luxury wallpaper from dado rail to ceiling, and plush cream carpet.

Folding doors open the entire space out to your dining area. In here natural light pours in via a skylight overhead and large patio doors to the rear. Slide these open to step out onto your south-east facing, ninety foot garden where a timber-decked pergola leads to lush lawn and expertly curated beds, all ending in an al fresco dining area and that fully powered, 110 square foot garden room. Sublime. Head back inside and the kitchen comes with a chef's oven, elegant white cabinets (with under-unit lighting) and an integrated wine cooler. The ground floor's completed by a handy WC and utility space.

Up the stairs you'll find three generous and immaculate bedrooms, to the front a huge 180 square foot double, and to the rear a 165 square foot sleeper with a wealth of built-in storage and gorgeous garden view. The family bathroom's a smart designer affair with a rainfall shower over the tub, and gleaming metro tile-work. Head into the loft conversion for your exquisite 200 square foot principal bedroom with its own skylit dressing room and en suite home to a rainfall shower cubicle. Lastly, your new abode comes chain free, for a hassle-free move.

Outside and Highams Park is just a few minutes away at the top of your street. With wonderful views over the city from its gentle slopes, plus the lake and playground, it's a great spot for well being and fitness. Sitting towards the southern tip of Epping Forest, you can wander north as far as your legs will carry you. Closer to home and all the amenities of Highams Park are gathered a few moments away. From cafes to chemists, fitness centres to gourmet pubs, there's something for everyone.

a word from the owners...

"We love this house and it is a real sanctuary with its spacious, calm, light and airy feel, and its lovely views over the forest all the way to Canary Wharf - great for watching the fireworks! The kitchen fills with sunshine in the mornings and the garden traps the sun all day until late in the summer evening, and the garden-office has been a godsend over lock-down. Our location in the heart of Highams Park Village is brilliant - the schools, lake and forest are so close, and the Overground station, shops and cafes are just at the end of our road."

Our Local Guide:
Highams Park

Castle Avenue, Highams Park — Stow Brothers

Not everyone in the capital has heard of Highams Park, and that’s only a good thing. Although it’s well connected to Central London on the Overground to Liverpool Street, it’s tucked out of sight enough to ensure that the picturesque woodland and coffee shops have a slightly exclusive feel. That’s not to say that the locals are a cliquey bunch though – far from it, they’ve been welcoming savvy families and individuals after a little more bang for their buck for years.

All the extra space offered up from Epping Forest and Highams Park itself might be the main draw, but newcomers stay for the perks; the silver-lining of the secret slowly getting out is a vibrant and buzzing community which has created a lively food and drink scene.
