Fabulously located two bedroom Warner apartment with views of Lloyd Park and in the heart of a thriving community. These maisonettes have a special charm and enduring popularity thanks to the many attractive features they have, including private entrance, tall ceilings, well proportioned rooms and large, shared gardens. This is a wonderful example, and is ready for you to come and put your stamp on it!

IF YOU LIVED HERE:

"As you approach your new home, notice the original Victorian path leading you to your new front door under the characteristic brick arch, this is an eye-catching feature of Warner conversions. Inside, notice how bright and light the reception room is, thanks to that large bay window. You’ve also got some handy built in shelving here as well as fresh and neutral walls. There is some modernisation needed in here, as well as the kitchen and bathroom, but it is a perfect blank canvas and offers a great possibility for you to come and design your dream home. Your two bedrooms are both doubles, and both have lovely garden views. The garden is a glorious space, part paved with a raised area for al fresco dining, you also have a well tended lawn with pops of wildflowers adding little bursts of colour, a delight for the bees.

Lloyd Park is a real gem in the crown of Walthamstow, with a multitude of sports facilities available to everyone, there’s also a weekly farmers market in the grounds of William Morris museum which sits on the edge of the park. The former home of Walthamstow’s most famous son is now open to the public as a museum, events space and tea room with stunning views overlooking the manicured gardens - you will enjoy stopping for a cuppa and a slice of cake in the Orangery. You are also conveniently close to useful amenities here, including a post office and pharmacy. "

WHAT ELSE:
-Remember we said this is a friendly neighbourhood? That wasn’t just lip service - here you can expect regular street parties, jumble trails, neighbours helping each other out and a warm welcome. You have some excellent schools locally, including the ever popular Winns Primary.
-With some of the Borough’s favourite eateries in your immediate locale you’re spoilt for choice where to start! Head to Buhler and Co for brunch, Yard Sale for Pizza, Shri Lakshmi for authentic Indian food. Alternatively just hot foot it to your new local The Dog and Duck, a family friendly boozer with a large beer garden offering delicious stonebaked pizzas.
-13 minutes walk South and you reach Walthamstow Central. You can pick up the Victoria Line from here taking you into the West End in less than 20 minutes, and locals are already waiting in excited anticipation for the opening of Soho Theatre, Walthamstow with the programme of events due to be released any day now.

word from the owner...

"Carr Road has served us well for over ten years. Being adjacent to Lloyd Park has been a real asset; so has having a Post Office, convenience stores, pharmacy and GP within 50-100 meters... We have lived in Walthamstow for 40 years and it is at its most interesting and vibrant now!"

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Carr Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
