This two bedroom end of terrace Victorian house in the desirable Poet’s Corner area of Walthamstow just off Hoe Street is close Lloyd Park, Walthamstow Village and all the amenities of the town centre, including the station.

IF YOU LIVED HERE…

You’d enjoy a generous 733 square feet of space, most of which is on the ground floor thanks to a large single storey rear extension that houses the bathroom and a large rear living room which has fabulous natural light from windows and double doors that open onto the garden terrace.

There’s also a living room at the front of the property that you step into straight from the small internal porch. This tranquil space features a green painted wall and bespoke bookshelves, and has a door to the kitchen.

The kitchen is spacious, with a stylish combination of two tone wall floor cabinets, white wall cabinets a complementary metro-tiled splashback in subtle blue-green hues, and integrated appliances. Beyond this there’s a wide L-shaped back hallway that’s open-plan to the back living room and has a door to the bathroom. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a bath with an overhead shower and screen, and a freestanding washbasin and WC. It also has good natural light from a side window.

The first floor is home to two double bedrooms, both with built-in storage spaces. The main room at the front has a striking green wall (matching the one downstairs) and a large sash window with street views, whilst the back bedroom has leafy garden views.

The low-maintenance west-facing 44 ft garden is a considered space; it’s zoned into a large paved area that’s ideal for entertaining, a central raised bed, and a private section beyond the shed with a mix of planting and paving.

a word from the owners...

"We've absolutely loved living in Walthamstow, it's a special neighbourhood. Byron road is perfectly located at the heart of E17, less than ten minutes walk from Lloyd Park, the farmers market, Village and the Town hall. When we need a little bit of quiet time away from Walthamstow's buzz, the garden is a peaceful, sunny oasis, We've been so lucky to have such wonderful neighbours, in fact we've never had such a lovely bunch anywhere else – we'll miss them. There is a great community vibe on the street and a real sense of togetherness and inclusivity."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Byron Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
