6 Bedroom

2 Bath

This epically proportioned six-bedroom home unfolds over three floors, with two bathrooms, two reception rooms, a utility space, private garden and garden studio amongst other highlights.

The location is an excellent spot between Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow Central and St James Street, meaning you can enjoy the perks (and transport links) of not one, but three fantastic neighbourhoods. Although the home is surrounded by lively action, Buxton Road is actually a residential street, and there’s plenty of nature nearby as well.

IF YOU LIVE HERE…

It’ll take you a while to explore every corner of this mega 1700 square foot home - the layout is quite masterful…

Your spacious and adjoining reception room and dine-in kitchen create the perfect environment for entertaining, particularly during warmer months when the rear doors can be opened up to the spacious garden. The design thoughtfully combines old and new, with period features such as the ornate beading sitting alongside contemporary updates, and you’ll really appreciate the amount of natural light.

Conveniently, you have a family bathroom and utility space on the ground floor, as well as a further reception which would be a great play den or cinema room. Upstairs, you’ll find four smart bedrooms. There are another two bedrooms in the converted loft, as well as your second bathroom. Don’t forget the spacious garden studio for even more space.

Beyond the front door, you’ll be delighted to find that your new home is nestled in between some excellent green spaces; Lloyd Park, Walthamstow Wetlands and St. James Park – all reachable on foot.

You’ll love having the Blackhorse Road neighbourhood on your doorstep - Conde Nast Traveller recently ranked this area among the UK and Ireland's top destinations to visit this year. Start by exploring the Blackhorse Beer Mile, home to some of East London's most exciting craft beer breweries, bars and street food, including Signature, Exale, Hackney, Wild Card and the epic Big Penny Social (look out for events across all of them).

If you head in the other direction you’ll find the incredible amenities that Hoe Street has to offer, including the long await reopening of the Soho Theatre Walthamstow, and a whole host of award-winning restaurants.

WHAT ELSE?

-It’s a 10 minute stroll to Blackhorse Road station, where the Victoria line will get you straight to Kings Cross in the same amount of time, or hop on the Overground, which zips between Gospel Oak and Barking. Buses are plentiful too. You also have the option of strolling to St James Street (5 mins) or Walthamstow Central (10 mins) for the Overground route to London Liverpool Street.
-New local? How about The Chequers on the High Street, a favourite with many due to its great selection of drinks and delicious roasts.
-Head to Walthamstow Central for Europe’s longest market which runs along Walthamstow High Street, as well 17&Central shopping centre, which has a fantastic food court and mini golf, as well as the convenient chains.

a word from the owner...

"This house has been in our family for many decades, our father having purchased it many moons ago and we are sad to have to leave only due to the fact we are now downsizing as the property is somewhat large for 3 people. We have loved living here and have always felt safe and have many friends in Walthamstow. The location of the property cannot be matched for convenience, we literally have the market, shops, post office, tube and train stations on our doorstep."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Buxton Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
