a word from the owner...

"We have lived in this flat for the last 10 years and have absolutely loved it. The structure and design of the building makes it feel like a little sanctuary away from the world but its location is so brilliantly connected it really is the perfect combination. The St James Street area has developed beyond recognition over the last few years and we now have some wonderful local amenities including two amazing bakeries just a stones throw from the font door (Beaten By A Whisker & Weirdough), a stunning artisanal flower shop (Borrowed Light Flower Studio) an incredible international supermarket which stocks every ingredient you could possibly need and Gochu Gang, the best Korean Fried Chicken in East London. The flat itself is unique with its double height ceilings which gives it a stunning gallery feel and solid wood floors. The bedroom is an especially good size with tonnes of space for storage. The flat is a 2 minute walk from the front door to St James Street station which takes you into Liverpool Street in 15 minutes and a 7 minute walk to Blackhorse Road underground station which takes you to Oxford Circus in 20 minutes. Finally there is St James park just at the end of a nearby street and of course the glorious Walthamstow marshes which are just a mile away and will connect you to countless stunning running routes. We would stay here if we didn't need a little garden for our new Staffie pup!"

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Brunner Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
