a word from the owner...

"I have thoroughly enjoyed living in my flat. The living room space and its size have been fantastic—perfect for hosting large dinner parties or practising yoga with friends. I’ve also relished the opportunity to decorate and update the space while living here. I will definitely miss the flat. I absolutely love the area, so much so that I’m planning to move nearby. You can easily walk or cycle less than a mile and find yourself in Epping Forest, and in the other direction, you're in Hackney Wick or Hackney Marshes. It's also incredibly convenient, being so close to my local yoga studio, More Yoga, as well as some lovely pubs and restaurants, such as The Frilly Brook and The Healthcote & Star."

Our Local Guide:
Leyton

Brierley Road, Leyton — Stow Brothers

Assured locals barely bat an eyelid when the national press dub Leyton one of ‘best places to live’ in London – it’s been a regular feature since the 2012 London Olympics regeneration, but the area’s constant evolution means even frequent visitors can get taken aback by just how much it has going on.

With the lively cafes on Francis Road, the bustling High Road, the family-friendly footie action and easy access to the Olympic Park, Leyton can often feel like a city within a city. What’s more, these various layers work together to create a balanced community that comes free of any pretension, so even newbies can find themselves having a natter with the locals while they explore Leyton’s latest delights. It’s an easy reach too, with the Central line connecting Leyton with the city to the west, and leafy Essex to the east.

Transport links

There’s no ‘late’ in Leyton thanks to the excellent transport links. Leyton tube is on the Central line with direct trains into the City and Central London, while Leyton Midland Road is handily placed on the Overground line, as is the new-ish Lea Bridge station.

Great Pubs

Whether you want a quiet pint in the sunshine or a night of banging tunes, Leyton has you covered for pubs. With The Leyton Star, The Coach & Horses, William the Fourth, locals and visitors are spoilt for choice.

Plenty of period property

Leyton’s amenities might be largely new additions, but a lot of the property is gloriously old. Victorian and Edwardian houses are plentiful - including budget-friendly ‘doer-uppers’, and the wide tree-lined streets add further appeal.
