"We have loved living on Brettenham road for the past 3 years. It is the first property that we’ve bought together as a couple and it has been perfect for us. The location is fantastic, allowing us to enjoy all that Walthamstow has to offer. Just moments away is Lloyd Park with its weekly Saturday market, the William Morris Gallery and two cafes. A short walk away you’ll also find Walthamstow Village with the excellent Eat17 and multiple independent shops, restaurants, and cafes. There is a real sense of community on the road with friendly welcoming neighbours and an active WhatsApp group where people are more than willing to offer advice or lend a hand. When it comes to the flat itself, we love the versatility of the space, as it allows us to easily swap between working from home, hosting friends / family and relaxing. Our south facing front room is a sun trap while our living room gets warm evening sun. We love the direct access to the garden from our kitchen and the spacious bathroom. Leaving will certainly be bittersweet!"

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too. 

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
