"We have lived in this house for forty years and have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Sadly, now that our family have moved on we feel is is time for us to find a smaller place and leave this lovely house to someone who can use it's full potential. The house provides a great sense of space and light and the garden is an absolute joy. We have very good neighbours who have all lived in Bosgrove for a number of years now. A ten minute walk will get you to Station road where there is an array of shops and restaurants to cater for all tastes. Chingford main line station is a fifteen minute walk with links to Walthamstow (Victoria line) and Liverpool street. There are various bus routes starting from Station road also. There are two nice parks within walking distance to enjoy. We hope the new owners will enjoy the house as much as we have and we wish them all the very best. "

Chingford has flourished more quickly than people have caught on in recent years, making it something of a well kept secret for locals (it wasn’t us who told you). Full of village charm but only 26 minutes from central London, it’s easy to see the appeal. 

With sprawling parks in the centre and the 6,000-acre Epping Forest lining the northern boundary, there’s more open space than you can shake a native hornbeam stick at, no wonder that Chingford has spawned two England football captains in recent decades. 

For those looking to refuel after burning off all that energy in nature, there’s a thriving food and drink scene, although let’s be clear that the area’s admired status pre-dates the macchiato. Local historical landmark the Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge was built for Henry VIII way back in 1543.
