It offers everything you could need: pubs, restaurants, cafes and a monthly farmers' market. Some of the newest additions are our favourite: we love the pastries from Bobo & Wild and a pint at the recently refurbished pub the George. We also enjoy grabbing a coffee from La Bakerie after a walk or run in Wanstead Park or Wanstead Flats. We can get into the City for work and leisure in 30 minutes. If you're looking for something different and want to experience London's best nightlife, recently opened Drumsheds is only 15 minutes away by taxi. Wanstead offers everything you could need and we know you'll love living here too!"

Thanks to its royal connections and grand properties, Wanstead has previously been compared to the likes of Twickenham and Richmond, although East Londoners are quick to point out that it has plenty enough merits of its own. 

For a start, despite its villagey feel, it’s proudly nestled within London’s most creative quadrant and only a short hop on the Central line from the bright lights of the City. There’s also an abundance of green space – Wanstead Flats, Epping Forest, Wanstead Park and Chalet Wood, with the seasonal display of bluebells in the latter just calling out for an accompanying picnic from one of the well-stocked local delis or cafes. But that’s not to say that Wanstead’s charming pubs and restaurants aren’t delightful to look at themselves – it’ll be deciding which to go for that’s the problem.
