3 Bedroom

2 Bath

A strikingly finished, three bedroom designer apartment with private balcony. One of just eight perched atop Gnome House, a striking Art Deco low rise building in the heart of the creative community of Blackhorse Road and ideally placed two minutes from the transport links of Blackhorse Road station.

Gnome House itself is an arts centre with on site printmaking workshop, cafe (opening soon), meeting rooms and a large community/exhibition space for hire. Whether you're an at home worker or a creative, it's a great place to have at your feet.

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll be sat atop one of the most striking buildings for miles around, Gnome House's classic Art Deco lines greeting you every time you arrive home. Inside and things are no less impressive – your lengthy hallway's floored with blonde oak laminate and internal doors retain a beautifully natural grain. Your kitchen/lounge is an expansive 280 square feet, smartly decked out with broad oak floors and glossy grey cabinets in the kitchen area home to a full complement of integrated appliances. The whole space is awash with natural light thanks to the large patio doors leading out to that fantastic, 210 square feet balcony with commanding views over the city.

Elsewhere, your master bedroom's a spacious 180 square feet and comes complete with an en suite shower room, glitteringly finished in mosaic tiling and with a walk-in rainfall shower cubicle. Both other bedrooms are substantial doubles of well over 100 square feet apiece, all appointed just as elegantly as the rest of this stylish apartment. Finally, the family bathroom's a warm affair in mosaic tiles and oak laminate, with a tub and rainfall shower.

Blackhorse Road station is less than a five minute walk and will get you directly to Oxford Circus in twenty. Walk for around a further ten minutes and you're at St James Street station, which will get you directly to Liverpool Street, also in just twenty minutes direct. You're surrounded by creativity and community here, but Blackhorse Workshop still stands out – a true creative hub serving up coffee and brunches as well as artistic instruction and inspiration, it's a mere five minute walk.

WHAT ELSE?

- Fancy getting some nature under your feet? Walthamstow Wetlands, London's largest nature reserve, is just ten minutes walk away. 500 acres of blue and green space and free to enter all year round.
- A pleasant half mile stroll away is the Ferry Boat Inn, the perfect spot for a riverside pint.

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Blackhorse Lane, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
