a word from the owner...

"It's been 10 very happy years here making this house the perfect place to grow our young family. The sizable garden is perfect for BBQs and garden parties and provides interest throughout the seasons, particularly in the spring and summer months when the Wisteria is in full bloom and there are apples on the tree. Many homes on the street have been extended upwards and outwards, so this provides an ideal opportunity to grow, and stay in this property for years to come. The street has a warm and friendly community and we've loved having Lloyd Park so close with its vibrant Saturday food market as well as dipping in the fountains in Fellowship Square during the summer. There are great local pubs/breweries and restaurants (especially sourdough pizza at the dog and duck) and excellent coffee / brunch spots at Ruttle and Rowe, Buhler & Co and Dudleys. While you wait for the Soho Theatre Walthamstow to open in May, you can still enjoy some excellent entertainment at the wonderfully eclectic Trades Hall, awesome theatre/comedy shows at the Ye Olde Rose & Crown pub, latest movies at the Forest Cinema and Instagrammable neon art at God’s Own Junkyard. With quick access to the city and nature on the doorstep (Epping Forest, Highams Park Lake, Hollows Pond and the Wetlands) and with a large Sainsbury’s, Feel Good Centre (Gym, Pool, and Spa), all within 10 minutes walk away it's got everything you need. It’s no wonder that Walthamstow was voted The Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Live in London’ in March 2025. We will be very sad to leave this house as this is such a vibrant, unique and special place to live."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Beresford Road, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
