"We’ve lived in Badlis Road for over 7 years and have really enjoyed renovating the flat. Having always lived in the city we love the fact that Walthamstow has so much going on. There’s loads of independent shops and restaurants to keep you busy, and a brewery for every day of the week. Although we have our own garden, living on the edge of Lloyd Park is a real bonus. It’s a tasty stop-off for lunch at the weekly food market, has a great children's play area, tennis courts and skate park - and you don’t have far to carry your Christmas tree home in Winter. If you enjoy walking or cycling then Epping Forest is a handy escape, or you can follow the canals from the Wetlands all the way to Hackney Wick. We’re sad to be leaving before the Soho Theatre opens its doors early next year. But we’ll be back."

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too. 

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
