Bright and modern, this three-double bedroom home benefits from having two bathrooms, a south-facing rear garden, a utility room and an open plan living space, all immaculately finished with stylish touches throughout.

As for location, this Forest Gate spot means you’ve got brilliant choice of amenities, greenery and transport options - in fact, you could be jumping on the Elizabeth line within around ten minutes of leaving the front door (although you’ll want to stick around as much as possible).

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll love the generous proportions of your purpose-build home - and you’ll really appreciate how it’s been designed with modern living in mind.

The open plan kitchen/living room is sleek and spotless, with stunning Herringbone-style parquet sweeping its length. There’s plenty of space for working, eating, relaxing and socialising, and in the summer months your beautifully maintained sun-trap garden will become a fantastic extension of your living space. The kitchen fittings are stylish and contemporary - and there’s ample storage space.

The three bedrooms are all doubles, and the master even has its own ensuite, which is just as modern as the main bathroom. If this wasn’t convenient enough, you’ll be delighted to find a utility room too.

As for the location, nearby you’ve got Winchelsea Road, a thriving hub with some fantastic eateries located in the old railway arches. Look out for Pretty Decent Beer, The Wanstead Kitchen and Wild Goose Bakery. Not sure which to try first? Just ask one of the friendly locals. On the way there, you’ll pass Forest Gate tube, where you can be transported to the West End in around 20 minutes via the speedy Elizabeth line.

WHAT ELSE?...

-Parents will be pleased to learn that you have numerous primary/secondaries nearby, all rated 'Good' or better by Ofsted.
- Drivers are less than ten minutes from the North Circular.
- As well as West Ham Park nearby, you’ve got the Wanstead Flats less than a mile away - once Henry VIII’s favoured hunting ground, it’s now ideal for dog-walkers, fitness fans and picnickers.

a word from the owner...

"We have thoroughly enjoyed living at our 3 bedroom home in Forest Gate. The spacious open plan living area with bi-folds connecting to a private sunny garden has been the perfect space to invite family and friends, to gather for dinner parties and summer BBQ's. The lay out separating the bedrooms has been ideal for allowing privacy when having guests stay or for working from home. Our neighbours / shared freeholders at Fairstone House are some of the loveliest people we know, who're always willing to help out when needed. You couldn’t ask for a better bunch! Being regular commuters into the City and Canary Wharf, the convenience of being a short walk to Forest Gate Elizabeth Line station has been brilliant. 23 mins to Canary Wharf and 15 mins direct to Liverpool Street will be hard to beat! Not to mention getting to the likes of Bond Street and Heathrow Airport without any changes. For quick trips to Stratford, we have found being moments away from Margery Park Road bus stop extremely useful. There are a number of regular buses going by, all of which gets you into Stratford in under 10 minutes for Westfield Shopping or the various underground lines available. For those that look for green space, we often enjoyed walks or runs around the beautiful landscapes at West Ham Park as well as the vast Wanstead Flats, both of which are walking distance. Forest Gate high street is ever changing, with a number of new enjoyable spots opened in recent years and with more exciting development on the way. We have enjoyed many divine Italian meals at both Giovanni's and Fiore Truck - a must visit!"

Our Local Guide:

Atherton Mews, Forest Gate — Stow Brothers

If you’ve already heard Chiwetel Ejiofor or Idris Elba proudly discussing their hometown, you probably don’t need us to convince you of Forest Gate’s merits, but for those who haven’t, let us catch you up…

With a heritage rooted in culture, it’s not surprising that Forest Gate has a strong creative community today. During just one week in the 60s, the Upper Cut Club music venue there hosted – deep breath – The Who, the Animals, the Spencer Davis Group, Geno Washington and Jimi Hendrix. These days you’re more likely to find the area’s artistic-types supping drinks in the cool cafes and bars. Along with the period property and proximity to green space, this independent scene has been the main draw for new arrivals to the area, although the fact that Forest Gate is now on the Crossrail’s Elizabeth line has definitely helped nudge people in the right direction.

Wine bars, gastro pubs, microbrews, traditional boozers… With so many drinking establishments in Forest Gate, taking ‘a trip to the local’ can be a tricky decision. The CiderHouse, The Holly Tree and Forest Gate Tavern are just a few of the places to choose between.

Plenty of period property

Forest Gate has an abundance of Victorian housing, ranging from terraces in the area dubbed ‘Forest Gate Village’ to semis and detached in the Woodgrange Estate conservation area. Whether you’re after a doer-upper or recently renovated period property, there should be something for your budget.
