a word from the owner...

"I bought the property as a first time buyer in 2019 and have lived and loved the property from the very first day. The local area has grown and developed over the last few years with local coffee shops, restaurants, and an abundance of breweries which give the area a sense of community. There are numerous transport option close by giving convenient access to many areas of London I have kept the property in pristine condition, fitting a new bathroom in 2022. I’m certain that the next owner will enjoy the property and the local area as much as I have. I will be sad to move on, but happy for others to start a new chapter."

Our Local Guide:
Leyton

Albany Road, Leyton — Stow Brothers

Assured locals barely bat an eyelid when the national press dub Leyton one of ‘best places to live’ in London – it’s been a regular feature since the 2012 London Olympics regeneration, but the area’s constant evolution means even frequent visitors can get taken aback by just how much it has going on.

With the lively cafes on Francis Road, the bustling High Road, the family-friendly footie action and easy access to the Olympic Park, Leyton can often feel like a city within a city. What’s more, these various layers work together to create a balanced community that comes free of any pretension, so even newbies can find themselves having a natter with the locals while they explore Leyton’s latest delights. It’s an easy reach too, with the Central line connecting Leyton with the city to the west, and leafy Essex to the east.

Features + Perks

Transport links

There’s no ‘late’ in Leyton thanks to the excellent transport links. Leyton tube is on the Central line with direct trains into the City and Central London, while Leyton Midland Road is handily placed on the Overground line, as is the new-ish Lea Bridge station.

Great Pubs

Whether you want a quiet pint in the sunshine or a night of banging tunes, Leyton has you covered for pubs. With The Leyton Star, The Coach & Horses, William the Fourth, locals and visitors are spoilt for choice.

Plenty of period property

Leyton’s amenities might be largely new additions, but a lot of the property is gloriously old. Victorian and Edwardian houses are plentiful - including budget-friendly ‘doer-uppers’, and the wide tree-lined streets add further appeal.
