An elegantly finished, 1930s four bedroom family semi detached, expertly developed over three storeys with a sunroom and vast garden to the rear. It's all just a few moments on foot from the open rolling greenery of Highams Park.

With that substantial side return, there's still more developmental potential here (subject to the usual permissions).

IF YOU LIVED HERE...

You'll be stretching out in over 1200 square feet of living space, full of natural light, smart finishes and characterful colour schemes. Your handsome brick frontage makes a superb first impression, while step inside for your broad hallway, with blonde hardwood-style laninate underfoot and carpeted stairs rising ahead. Your first reception is on your left, 170 square feet with a smoky grey paint job up to the picture rail and floods of natural light thanks to the 1930s bow window.

Next door your splendid kitchen/diner is larger still, with a curvaceous suite of soft grey cabinets top and bottom, solid oak worktops and a metro tiled splashback in between. The dining area's finished in eggshell turquoise, and leads directly into that expansive sunroom, for widescreen views of your tremendous rear garden. Step outside for an oversized timber deck, ideal for dining al fresco, before descending to the glorious seventy foot lawn, flanked by timber fencing.

Upstairs and your principal bedroom is a generous double of 150 square feet. Another bow window illuminates striking royal blue walls and soft carpet. Next door you have a generous single, currently in use as a home office and dressing room and featuring plenty of floor to ceiling wardrobes. Bedroom three sits to the rear, another bright, strikingly appointed double, while your family bathroom completes the storey, tiled in smoky sandstone with a rainfall shower over the tub. Finally, your loft conversion rounds things off with your fourth sleeper suite, featuring skylight, eaves storage and a sparkling en suite shower room.

Outside and, as noted, the splendid natural expanse of Highams Park is barely three minutes from your front door. Home to the famous Highams Park Lake (created at the turn of the century by Victorian landscape gardener Humphry Repton and later featured on Blue Peter) and unparalleled views over London, it's a splendid spot to have on your doorstep. Ideal for morning jogs, evening strolls, or exercising furry friends. There's a playground for the kids and Humphry's Cafe serves up delicious tea and cake.

a word from the owner...

"We purchased this house in 2015 and have thoroughly enjoyed renovating and modernising it for our growing family. We have made wonderful memories with our children here and the house works amazingly for family and social gatherings. We love the decking area we created in the garden allowing us to enjoy the garden throughout the year. Abbotts Crescent is a quiet, but friendly place to live and the perfect distance from many local amenities. The location of the house is wonderful, enabling an easy commute into the centre of London for work. Highams Park has many great restaurants, shops and beautiful outside spaces. Our children particularly enjoy the lake and forest which are a very short walk away."

Our Local Guide:
Highams Park

Abbotts Crescent, Highams Park — Stow Brothers

Not everyone in the capital has heard of Highams Park, and that’s only a good thing. Although it’s well connected to Central London on the Overground to Liverpool Street, it’s tucked out of sight enough to ensure that the picturesque woodland and coffee shops have a slightly exclusive feel. That’s not to say that the locals are a cliquey bunch though – far from it, they’ve been welcoming savvy families and individuals after a little more bang for their buck for years.

All the extra space offered up from Epping Forest and Highams Park itself might be the main draw, but newcomers stay for the perks; the silver-lining of the secret slowly getting out is a vibrant and buzzing community which has created a lively food and drink scene.
