a word from the owner...

"Walthamstow was unfamiliar territory when we arrived, yet we discovered a vibrant community and laid down our initial family roots. We've witnessed the neighbourhood's evolution, welcoming The Crate with its cozy coffee shop, pub, and eateries, and the emergence of delightful bakeries and cafes nearby. The flat's garden terrace has been a special place for weekend breakfasts, outdoor workdays basking in the summer sun, and autumnal evenings spent watching fireworks. The local parks have been perfect for sunny picnics, and the wetlands and marshes offer scenic running paths towards Clapton and Hackney. It's with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to this apartment, but as we embark on a new journey outside London, Walthamstow and this cherished flat will forever hold a special place in our hearts."

Our Local Guide:
Walthamstow

Old Brewery Way, Walthamstow — Stow Brothers

Situated on the edge of spacious Epping Forest, but every inch urban London, Walthamstow is one of those rare locations where you can have your (artisan) cake and eat it too.

Built from proper East End roots, the rapidly expanding community has transformed the area into a buzzy, creative hub and destination in its own right, making Walthamstow’s close proximity to central London less relevant than it perhaps once was (although if you must leave, it’s only a short hop on the Victoria line or London Overground). In fact, these days you’re more likely to see daytrippers coming into the area, keen to sample its varied offerings of food, drink, culture and green space. However, lucky locals get the added benefit of being part of a genuinely cheery community – and amongst the first to know about that latest hot new opening.
