One of our liveliest and most beloved boroughs, Hackney highlights on your doorstep include Hackney Central station, London Fields and Hackney Downs parks, plus the famous local nightlife.

You'll be bathed in natural light from all sides of your ingeniously arranged, 1180 square foot living space. All is arranged around your open plan hallway, kitchen and reception, together taking up around half of your total square footage for glorious entertaining options. Vintage blonde parquet flooring runs underfoot, offset with exposed brick accents for a timeless, high end aesthetic.

Your kitchen combines the classic and contemporary, with a sleek and seamless suite of integrated cabinets, timber worktops and, as always, lashings of natural light. With masses of space for dining it's a real home within a home. Your new home also features twin bathrooms. Your first is an immaculate family affair, leading off the main lounge decked out in a pristine white suite.

The first of your four bedrooms is a 135 square foot double, with more parquet flooring and the second of your twin bathrooms, a gleaming en suite with rainfall shower and pristine metro tiling. Your remaining three bedrooms include the vast 210 square foot principal sleeper and another turned to use as the ideal study. Space, heritage and location all add up to the finest example of London apartment living.

With all of buzzing Hackney laid out before you, you're spoiled for choice when it comes to nightlife. But for your new local you can't do better than The Cock Tavern, an East London institution just two minutes on foot. Alternatively, take a stroll through London Fields and there's a whole host of independent wining and dining establishments, takeaways and vintage shops lining Mare Street.

- Hackney Central station is less than five minutes on foot, for all manner of direct destinations including nine minute runs to Stratford. Hackney Downs is five minutes further and will get you straight to Liverpool Street just as quickly.
- Your new development also features some beautifully landscaped communal gardens, perfect for barbecues and getting to know the neighbours.
- Parents will be pleased to find no fewer than fourteen 'Outstanding' primary/secondary schools less than a mile away on foot. A further twenty nine are rated 'Good' and just as convenient.

a word from the owner.....

"We moved into to the Colonnades 22 years ago which proves what a wonderful place this is to live! Despite being set within the very heart of Hackney Central, the Colonnades is a very peaceful place to live, surrounded by no-through roads and facing into a lovely communal garden providing a quiet hidden oasis. The flat is close to multiple transport links, although being within walking distance of so many parks, markets, cafes and restaurants makes it very easy to never leave the area! With all the original features of the previous factory such as the enormous windows, high ceilings, columns, brick walls and parquet flooring in place, the flat is light, spacious, and solid. The residents share a WhatsApp group, a great neighbourly community always ready to help each other out."

Our Local Guide:

35 Sylvester Road, Hackney — Stow Brothers

Where do you start with Hackney? It can feel like it’s all been said before, but, of course, it can’t have been because the area is constantly evolving, which is what keeps it so fresh. It’s just what happens when a neighbourhood has such a high population of creative innovators.

Even fans of Hackney’s scruffier edges love the imaginative ways that the area has been regenerated, with thoughtfully-designed stores, bars and coffee shops sitting comfortably alongside sleek architecture and beloved institutions such as Ridley Road Market.

Despite all this urban buzz, the area has a surprisingly large amount of green space, including Hackney Wick, Victoria Park and London Fields, which fill up with a mix of visitors and locals at weekends. Whether they go on to have food at a Michelin-starred restaurant, a pint in The Talbot or a swim in the lido, they’re all united in their love of this most unique community.
